Jenny Mod Multiplayer: Server Setup & Play With Friends (2026)
Updated: October 3, 2026
Tested on: Minecraft Java 1.12.2 (Forge) and Bedrock 1.21 (Android) — re-checked October 2026.
Yes, Jenny Mod works in multiplayer — with one golden rule: every player must have the exact same mod file and version. If one player’s file differs, they’ll be kicked or see broken characters. Here’s how to set it up on Java and Bedrock.
Java Edition: Server Setup
- Install the same Forge version + Jenny Mod
.jaron the server’smodsfolder and on every player’s client. - Start the server once to generate configs, then restart.
- Players join with a Forge profile matching the server’s Minecraft version (1.12.2 for the classic mod).
- Give players time to sync — first join downloads nothing extra, but the mod must be present locally or they can’t connect.
Bedrock: Play Together in One World
- The host creates a world with the Jenny addon enabled (behavior + resource packs) and Experiments on.
- Every joining player needs the same addon file installed — the host’s world settings prompt them, but pre-installing avoids errors.
- Use Friends multiplayer or a Realm (Realms support behavior packs).
Limitations to Know
- Quests are per-player: trust and quest progress don’t sync — each player builds their own relationships.
- Performance: the host carries the load. On mobile hosting, keep render distance low.
- Version lock: all players on the same Minecraft + mod version, or expect disconnects.
- No console cross-play with mods — console players can’t sideload the addon.
Download safely: Only download the Jenny Mod from this page or sources you trust. Avoid random “free download” sites — many bundle malware or fake files under the mod’s name.
